NYC Day Shopping at Union Square
What a great day it was yesterday. The sun was shinning bright, the wind was passing by with varying strength, and the flowers were open wide. Having gone home, my parents and I went on a flower shopping spree. We went to Union Square to shop around by train. (like a real New Yorker mind you) I was actually looking for a jacket but couldn't find anything that suited my style. I personally don't like to have brand names all over my clothing, rather I prefer a design that combines simple colors in intriguing ways with as little text as possible. But this can be very difficult to find and I am usually picky. Was the day ruined you ask? Not at all. Merely walking around and visiting stores was very entertaining. I found so many weird accessories all over and was able to get this pillow that was really really soft. Its orange but its really soft (sorry can't stress it enough) But the highlight of the day was when we went to this "farm marketplace". There were stands all over with each selling many things but everything organic. They had duck eggs, parsley, oregano, milk, syrup, apple cyder, and flowers. I tell you, they had a bunch of flowers scattered all around. Some of them looked dead so we steered clear from them but most of them were up and coming. I of course was drinking my strawberry yogurt as I walked around. Always trying to be cool under the sun while taking care of my taste buds. At the end of the day, ten flowers with pots included were bought. I was actually tired from too much walking but it was worth it. Now I have to go back to campus later today :( Nothing to look forward to ... except my new Linux OS :) haha!
